Visit statistics
Cloudflare Web Analytics shows how many people open which pages. It uses no cookies or device fingerprinting and doesn't track you across sites; only aggregate data such as page address, referring site, country, browser type and page load time is kept.
Your location
When you press "Use my location" or the locate button, your browser gives your position to the map on this device only. It is never sent to or stored on our server.
Stored on your device
Your language, saved places (star) and install preference live in your browser's local storage; clear your browser data to remove them. Offline map tiles you download also stay on this device.
Error reports
If you send the "Report" form for a place, we store only that place (name, coordinates, OpenStreetMap ID), the type you chose, your text, the interface language and the time; reports are deleted after 180 days. Your IP address is not stored: to prevent abuse it is irreversibly hashed with a key that changes daily and the hash is deleted after an hour. Please don't include personal details in the text.
Third parties
While the map runs, your browser requests these services directly and they can see your IP address: OpenFreeMap (map tiles), Amazon Web Services (terrain tiles), Google Fonts (fonts), Wikipedia (place summary, when a card opens). Address search text is forwarded through our server to Photon (komoot, OpenStreetMap data). Flight, earthquake and weather data are fetched by our server from ADSB.lol, AFAD and Open-Meteo; nothing about you is sent with those requests.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages; Cloudflare may keep technical logs to operate and protect the service.
